Taylor’s Goals
Life is so busy, which makes it difficult to keep up with goals and things. But I want to be a part of this challenge, and I love setting goals! I am going to try to keep mine simple and achievable.
At the beginning of this year, I bought a planner from the school store that not only helped keep track of to-do’s and assignments, but also had in depth goal setting pages in the front! Some of my goals were to never turn down new things until I had tried them, to seek and be open to adventure, and to attend the temple at least twice a month. So far, some of the biggest things I’ve done have been: snowmobiling, visiting new states (Wyoming, Montana, Washington), temple hopping for a week in Utah (a new temple each day), learning to embrace my inner self and emotions, which has been a whirlwind by the way, and of course, that MRS degree!
Now, as my life is about to become the most chaotic it has ever been, I am excited to set new goals to help me through it. We are finally getting settled in Idaho, and will be *hopefully* in this same apartment for the next 3-4 years (Austin super loves the area). With his recent arm injury, we have stressed about him finding a good paying job that isn’t manual labor. We also are keeping in mind that our work schedules have to coincide with our school schedules and sharing the one car. So we are on the job hunt again (I am working a temporary full time position babysitting 5 kids), and preparing for school to start!
My goals will mainly be to help me to balance work-school-life, and stay sane through it all.
1. Start and end each day by kneeling and saying personal prayers.
2. Each morning, study the Book of Mormon, and have family lessons on Sunday for Come Follow Me.
3. Study hard and get all assignments turned in on time, but don’t overdo it stressing about getting B’s instead of A’s.
4. Be happy while working! Make friends and enjoy yourself. Don’t stress about people pleasing and what others think of your mess ups, it really doesn’t matter in the long run.
5. Go to yoga night at least once a week, twice if you can!
6. Stretch each morning! Keep your body loose and your nerves will follow.
I am so excited for the rest of this year! Good luck everyone!
Your goals are awesome! I especially love 4. I am a really bad people pleaser and it can kill my enjoyment of life sometimes.
