Day one on new diet

Today is my first day on the new diet.  It went pretty well, I ate a lot of good food all without sugar and flour.  However I'm eating 6 oz of vegetables at lunch and dinner and I have to say for me that is a ton of vegatation!  I don't know if I can keep that up everyday.  Also after lunch and dinner even though I was pretty full I found that a part of me was still starving!  I recognize it's just the cravings and they aren't getting any food today!  However it is very strange to be feeling full but also hungry at the same time.  I intend to keep track of my weight to see how the new food affects it but I failed to weigh myself this morning, so weight tomorrow.  I've been pretty busy with figuring out food and with revamping my wardrobe.  Kiley got me into the dressing your truth energy profiling, it's fascinating and enlightening.  It is also helping me define my style so I'm doing a 30 day test starting tomorrow.  I'm only wearin...

Aimee Day 29/90- Weigh-in Week 4

Alrighty, we made through 4 weeks. I have to admit, this last week has not gone as well as the prior weeks. Being sick hasn't helped, but my dedication and resolve have wavered a bit. But I'm committed to the cause! Haha. I did a half day at work before I was sent home. I didn't have much of an appetite most of the day. But my wonderful husband got me lasagna and cheesecake from our favorite place (he admits my lasagna is "1000% better", but the ricotta cheese is pretty good. And they have yummy little rolls. So I guess I had my cheat meal. I did a couple of arm exercises at home, but I'm really tired. It's hard to be motivated when you can't move much. So I slept most of the evening. I just got up to get things ready for tomorrow to hopefully crush it! Now, weigh-in. Day 1-170.4 Day 8- 169 Day 15- 167.8 Day 22- 165.8 Day 29- 165.4 So I've officially lost 5 lbs since I started! Woohoo! But I only lost .4 this week. I'm not all surprised...

Aimee Day 28/90

Since it's Sunday, not a lot of working out. Still pretty sick. Did a lot of meal prep and water! And took a good nap. xoxo

Aimee Day 27/90

We are so close to 30 days! It's crazy. I'm still sick, but had to go into work for a few hours. It wasn't bad. I did grocery shopping for the week and now I've got to finish all the food prep. It''s a pretty big project for sure. But I'll get all the meals ready for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I did workout, which wasn't the smartest thing I've done. I ran a mile on the treadmill, did some leg weights, and did a 5 minute plank routine at home. But it drained me, so not a good idea. Hoping this coming week is much better all around. Xoxo

Aimee Day 26/90

I've been sick. I stayed in bed all day and basically only read my scriptures. Steven and I are going to be eating well and exercising together. He is going to do everything I say for a month haha. So we had a giant cheat meal... and I feel guilty because I haven't eaten well this week. But hopefully with him on board, it will be easier to steer away from the bad stuff. xoxo

I Found the Secret!!!

I have been trying a new thing this week and it has worked miracles. Usually my depression gets to me every other day or so; I can't seem to do well for a week straight. I am still not hitting all of my goals, but I am getting most of them; sometimes we forget a prayer or sometimes I don't stretch, etc.  I meal planned, including breakfast (Zach has had something besides cereal in the morning), which makes me less emotional and cranky not to mention the stress. I have also tried to give Aaron my undivided attention for 15 min every time he wakes up. This seems to make him much happier through the day when I am busy trying to get things done. I have felt a lot less stress this week and I am chalking up my success to one thing.  I have been listening to Jordan Peterson, he is a political voice on the conservative right, but he is also a practicing clinical psychiatrist. He explains that he can keep almost all of  his patients who struggle with anxiety and depression off ...

Aimee Day 25/90

I did pretty good at the beginning of the day. Drank all my water, read my scriptures, ate healthy, etc. Then I got a milkshake. I now have pink eye and most likely strep throat again. Darn kids! So I am not working out and I'm not belt testing this weekend for my orange belt. Hoping to get better soon. Xoxo

I see you but you can't see me

Ok really what happened is I fell off of the wagon.  I babysat for 3 1/2 days and nights and I got stressed and I got sick and so I haven't even looked at my goal journal for a week, no picture for you.  However next week I am starting a new plan.  You see I'm so tired of being sick and I've been getting sick very easily.  If you hadn't heard I think I might have Irritable Bowel Syndrome.  However it is not feasable to go to the doctor at this time.  So I feel worse when I eat sugar and I eat a lot!  In fact I am addicted to sugar.  I weigh more than I ever have and I feel worse than I ever have.  So I am doing what I don't usually believe in doing, I'm going on a diet.  But not for losing weight I am doing a diet for sugar/food addiction.  No sugar and no flour, regular meals and no snacks in between, and pre planned food that's weighed and includes a balance of carbs to protein with more vegetables than I'm accustomed to eating....

Aimee Day 24/90

So day 24 was a little bit better. I got up and got ready for work, had all the food prepped and ready for Steven and I, as well as listened to a talk. I did my planking in the morning and afternoon, we even had a plank challenge at work haha (I got 2:10, still a work in progress). I did eat half of a donut at work and didn't read my scriptures. I ran two miles at the gym (20:15) and did a 30 min leg and back workout. Then I did food prep for the weekend and cleaned the kitchen. I got over 100oz of water, which was nice :) xoxo

Aimee Day 23/90

This week has been a real struggle so far. I'm not sure why I can't get back on track, I'm just really tired for some reason. I ate pretty good yesterday, but ruined it in the evening with having half a chocolate bar. I drank my water, read my scriptures, put on make up, listened to a talk, and got food ready. I didn't make it to class or workout. I'm really gonna push to lose some weight this week and get my 2 miles better. I know I can do this! It's just hard when all I want to do is sleep. xoxo

Aimee Day 22/90-Weigh-In Week 3

The day is here! I get excited and really nervous the day before weigh-in day. I'm always excited to see progress but nervous that I won't see a change in the numbers. But report on the day first! I had to take the day off and couldn't leave, so I wasn't productive other than food prep. Cooked a lot of veggies! I did some light work out at home, with the intention of hitting the gym in the evening. Steven came home sad and hungry for Italian. I ended up getting him some food and eating Panda Express.... and getting some chocolate covered marshmallows. So, I had my cheat meal and cheat treat all in the same day. I'm feeling it. I always forget how gross bad food makes me feel. Reminds me why I'm doing this. I'm a little concerned that I fell off the wagon in one day. I've got to recommit, or I won't keep going forward. Enough dwelling. Weigh-in! Day 1- 170.4 Day 8- 169.0 Day 15- 167.8 Day 22- 165.8 That's a whole 2lbs in a week! I'm pr...

Aimee Day 21/90

So, I'm finding that I really struggle in the weekends. I'm trying to give a better account of my goals each day. Steven and I were so tired from the night before at King's Dominion, that we slept until noon... which is when church starts 30 minutes away. So, we missed that. I didn't read my scriptures. We sat around in our pajamas laughing and talking for a few hours. Then I had a 3 hour nap... and got up and made some salmon for dinner and the week. Today I will be food prepping since I took the day off because the apartment is coming to install some smart lock thing in the house. I ate: A medium sized bag of white cheddar cheetos, chocolate, 3 chocolate chip cookies, and a piece of salmon. I only got about 60oz of water in. Just not a great day for me. I am back on the wagon today though! Not going to let one off weekend destroy my progress or resolve. xoxo

Aimee Day 20/90

I'm going to try doing my day post the morning after. That way I'm done with the day and can make a full report on it. So yesterday wasn't really a good goal day, but it was a nice break. Steven and I got tickets for King's Dominion from his mom from her work. So we took his sister Addison and her best friends Addy. They had a lot of fun! It was the first night of fright night, so at 7 they have all the passage ways blocked off this scare zones and people in all sorts of costumes scaring us. The girls loved it haha. Some of the rides made me sick, but the rollers coasters were fun. There wasn't much to eat, so I ate some pizza and fries. But I said no to ice cream 3 times. I didn't drink my water since it was hard to get. But I did about half. Ready to make things better next week though. xoxo

Aimee Day 19/90

I love Friday's, they're my favoirte. I had a good day since I'm off work. I got my groceries at Aldi today and it was life changing. So amazing. I can't believe I've been paying so much for food.  I had a work friend come over so I cleaned the house and then we ran two miles at the gym and did pilates at the apartment. I ate good until this evening when I had a cheeseburger... I know. I was so mad at myself. I'm making good progress and I already had my cheat treat and meal this week. Plus we are going to Kings Dominion tomorrow and aren't allowed to bring outside food in :/ but I'll make it work!  I also read my scriptures today and listened to a podcast.  Finally the weekend! Xoxo

Aimee Day 18/90

Today went much better than yesterday. I did food prep, ran 2 miles, did back and shoulder, planked at work, and cleaned. I got my 8 hours of sleep, read my scriptures, listened to a talk, listened to a podcast, and stretched. xoxo

Aimee Day 17/90

I had an off day schedule wise, since I had a half day at work and went to a work event with Steven. So I got up around 5:00am and did my hair, takes forever. Got everything together and went to work until about noon. Then I went home, had lunch (chicken and veggies), did my make up, and kind of hung out for 30 minutes before heading to Steven's work for an event. I came home and took a good nap. I didn't end up working out again. Steven and I talked for so long when he got home, but I'm going to work extra hard tomorrow to make up for it.  I went to the grocery store and got a couple extra veggies for the next half of the week. I prepped our food for tomorrow and had my water. I also cleaned the kitchen and did my laundry! Keep moving forward ladies! xoxo

Alyse week 8-14

I did pretty well this week, I ran 3 times, did 3 different makeup looks, but only meditated 1.

Aimee Day 16/90

This was a rough day for me. I'm not really motivated. I didn't work out, I'm just tired. I had a great conversation about food prep with coworkers, that was nice. I ate pretty good also. I'm writing because I said I would, but too tired for all the details. xoxo

Hormones!

Things have been rough. Last week we went to Indiana for a flight test of the model Zach has been working on with the airforce. Unfortunately I wasn't able to be on base as they are strict about kids being at tests of potentially dangerous things. We hung out at the hotel. It was nice not to have to feel like I had to clean or cook.  This week has been a decent week for me. I am struggling most with getting all my scripture study in. There just seems to be so much to do and so little time with Aaron to take care of. I have decided to try to wake up at 7am every day and make sure I have a big breakfast with no simple carbs i.e. fructose. I have done this a couple of times in the last week and found that I have so much more energy and I am so motivated to get things done. I am doing very well with no sugar, it hasn't been easy, but it's help to not have Zach trying to bring home lots of sugary stuff. I am so stressed about our move back, but there are a lot of details we...

Third week

Image
Fortunately I have a new week to try again.  I did start a post earlier this week but then I forgot to save and it erased everything.  So here is my whole journal in one image.  I see Aimee's posts every day, how do the rest of you feel/think it's going?

Aimee Day 15/90- Weigh In Week 2

It's weigh in day! Good and bad day, but an exciting day. I like to weigh and measure myself because I like to see change. I also like charts and numbers, it's a very tangible way for me to measure success. This isn't for everyone, and I can see why. Today went fairly well. I got up, read my scriptures, listened to a talk, did my hair, and put on make up. I worked and did some meditation during my lunch break. I had salmon, squash, and steamed cauliflower for lunch, raspberries + blueberries with mozzarella cheese for snack, and a turkey patty with grilled eggplant and beets for dinner. I had all of my water... but I ate ice cream when I got home. It's my weakness! I didn't go to class tonight because  I have a weird rash on my face that may or may not be contagious. Then I put steroid cream on my face all day that took pigment out of my cheeks... now I look like a clown that didn't wash their make up off. Hopefully this will resolve and I won't want to cl...

Aime Day 14/90

The weekend has continued to be difficult food wise. I ate a lot of ice cream today and hummus with pretzels. I'm having a hard time with the food. It's always been a battle. I think I was hoping that a couple weeks of good eating would help, but I realize it's going to take a lot more than that. I just need to keep myself motivated through the week. I food prepped for the next 3 days and got food together for Steven and I so that's good. I'm working on my workout plan for the week tonight. Don't give up you guys! We can do it. xoxo

Aime Day 13/90

The weekends are hard for me in the food department. I honestly ate a lot of junk today and I'm sad about it. I read my scriptures, drank my water, ran two miles, did 20minutes of arm weights at the gym, stretched, and did a small ab circuit at home. I also did some grocery shopping for the week. Other than that, I just sat around today. I'm going to get better with the food thing. xoxo

Aimee Day 12/90

Friday seems to be a hard day for me, as it fell apart last week as well. But it was more together today than last week. I prayed, read my scriptures, listened to a talk, went to a doctor's appointment, meditated, ran, did pilates, and stretched. I also drank my water. But I didn't eat healthy at all... I finally had a bad eating day. But I'm not going to let it get to me. Steven and I went to a drive-in movie theater tonight, so we had movie theater dinner food and candy. But it was a fun surprise. Back at it tomorrow though! xoxo

Aimee Day 11/90

Day 11! And my Friday at work :) I was worried that yesterday would throw off my eating and working out, but it didn't! Thursday is my late day at work, so I got up at 6:30am, prayed, got Steven's food together, and read scriptures. Then I went to the gym and ran two miles on the treadmill, did 30 minutes of leg weights, and came home for a good stretch session. I showered and got ready for work, with make up. Then I cleaned the apartment. It's gotten out of hand this week as I've tried to squeeze everything in to meet goals. I listened to a podcast during all this, got my food together, and made a protein shake with a banana for breakfast. I had strawberries and blueberries for a snack. Then salmon, baked squash and sweet potato, and grilled cauliflower for lunch. Followed by shrimp, steamed cauliflower (you can tell which veggie I've been liking haha), with black beans and quinoa for dinner. I had 100oz of water and no sugar! I don't really eat after 8pm, it ...

Taylor’s first week

Hey! I thought about posting earlier this week, and now the week is almost over! It’s been slightly crazy. Austin got back to work last week, and this past Tuesday was the last day of my temporary job nannying. I’m hoping to find another job soon, but that is super hard around a college town. So my stress levels have been higher than I’ve been wanting them to be. I’ve been doing pretty well with my goals so far. I’ve been making sure that I roll out of bed and onto my knees every morning, which is the part of praying daily that I struggled with the most, cause I just wanna get going. I’ve been doing a bit more working out and stretching, though not every day. Since I’ve been babysitting from 7:30 am to 5 pm, it was hard to find a time to actually work out. But I decided to start doing some stretches while the kids were playing (4,3, and 2 yrs old-crazy I know) and they asked what I was doing and started imitating me! So I made a fun little workout class with them and pretended I was a...

Aimee Day 10/90

I learned something today; listen to your body. I have been working out really hard, and today I just got so tired. I realized I needed a break. I did abs at 5:30am, but didn't work out after work. I had my cheat treat tonight too, chocolate peanut butter ice cream. I'm not sure I should have given in, but I really wanted something and I'm trying to listen to myself. Today I did mostly everything that I needed to do today. I food prepped. I'm going to shower and go to bed. Get some sleep! xoxo

Aimee 9/90

I think maybe I have been pushing a little too hard with the working out. We started a weight loss challenge at work and everyone is getting super competitive haha. We were doing plank challenges, wall sit challenges, and push up challenges at work. Then I went to an hour of my martial arts class, did abs for 20 minutes, and then started running a mile with Steven and halfway through I felt to beat. So, re focusing on things this week. On the up side, I've been eating great! Steven bought ice cream which I still haven't touched, we have candy that I haven't had, and I've packed all my meals and snacks for yesterday and today. No sugar. A drug rep brought us catered Chick-Fil-A to the office. A big tray of nuggets, sauce, fruit platter, salad, a big bowl of mac'n cheese, and a giant platter of chocolate chip cookies... I didn't have any of it. Be proud. I ate my healthy lunch and moved on. I meditated, prayed, put money in my savings, stretched, and cleaned th...

Aimee Day 8/90

We officially finished the first week of our 90 day challenge. I did pretty good today! I drank my water, stretched, read my scriptures, listened to a talk, went to my class, did abs, worked, ate well, no processed sugar, and food prepped for tomorrow. I don't have time to write a lot tonight, since I need to get to bed. Today was my weigh-in day. I started at 170.4 and today I am 169. Not as much as I'd hoped, but its progress and I'm okay with that! Let's get through this week! xoxo

Alyse's week

I had a hard week, so I didn't reach all my goals. But I'm getting better. I ran twice and did 4 different Makeup looks. I didn't meditate at all. But I'm sure this week will be much better.

Last week

Image
Last week was a little rough I didn't do much goal stuff.  I've pinpointed a couple of issues.  I spend way too much time on my phone looking up and watching things so I've limited internet and video access on it (I have a computer for that) and kicked it out of my room.  One day and it's working, I went to sleep when I went to bed and I got up when I woke up this morning and I even got several things done before I left for work.  Now I just need to get to bed on time.  Here is the rest of last week's journal days.

Aimee Day 7/90

Day 7, already! I'm figuring something out. It is much easier to follow my goals when I make a list for the day. I like to check things off :) Overall, today was alright. I did meditation and yoga in the morning, which was a nice start to the day. I listened to a nice talk by President Nelson and read my scriptures. I didn't make it to church early this week, but we did make on time! I took a nap and did some food prep. So, I fell off the sugar wagon today. I ate candy and pancakes with syrup... I feel bad. Food is my kryptonite! Sugar, candy, pasta, ice cream, anything carby really. It's really hard for me to stay healthy. But I'm going to keep trying, I was making a lot of progress this week and I feel like I have to reset. I'm going to try really hard this week to keep up all my goals. You guys, we can do this! xoxo

Aime Day 6/90

Well, today went MUCH better than yesterday. I didn't do everything I wanted to, but mostly! I got up at 7:00 and went grocery shopping, I usually do that on Friday's, but I was a lump yesterday. When I got home, we went for a 2 mile run. I did 30 minutes of pilates and 20 minutes of abs and stretched. I made a delicious protein shake. Chocolate protein powder, a banana, peanut butter, and unsweetened almond milk... so good! I had a giant tuna sandwich with tomatoes and cucumber slices for lunch, and a great chicken salad for dinner. I also ate a piece of caramel, but I'm okay with it right now haha. I drank my 100oz of water. I also read my scriptures, listened to a podcast, prayed, put makeup on, did laundry, and did food prep. On fire today. Get it guys! xoxo

Aimee Day 5/90

Honestly, the only goals that I met today were getting 8 hours of sleep and drinking 100oz of water. It's my first day off for the weekend (I work 4 10 hours shifts and have Friday-Sunday off) and I slept in and slept during the day. I binge watched Grimm on Amazon Prime and didn't eat much. I deep conditioned my hair... so that was good haha. I think part of the problem was that I didn't plan out my day. A working day has structure to it, so I can easily stay on task. But Friday's are usually my grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry doing day. I'm going to have to do all of that tomorrow, if I can convince Steven to stay in and get things done with me! I'm struggling with what to eat, or how to eat. I really want to get back to a good weight and feel good about myself in that aspect, but I don't want to create bad eating habits by being too strict with myself. I need structure, or I'll go overboard. But if I get too focused, that's not good for me ...

My week

Image
Hi girls the last 3 days have been kind of rough for me.  Tuesday I lost 5 1/2 hours watching someone's baby.  It was supposed to be 3-4 but the baby was going to nap and she wouldn't so I didn't get anything else done.  Wednesday I broke my water bottle and rolled my ankle both of which caused me to miss the bus, we then had a girl's party and I was feeling depressed so I just stayed up.  Thursday I woke late and was already so packed with I had hardly two minutes to rub together so I didn't have time to do my goals.  So here are my journal entries.

Aimee Day 4/90

Today went fairly well! In the morning and I ran a mile and biked a mile and stretched. I did a 1 min plan during lunch, which I did yesterday as well. For breakfast I made oatmeal with chocolate protein powder and peanut butter. I had a salad with chicken and balsamic dressing for lunch. A turkey patty, cauliflower/squash with rice and quinoa for dinner. For snack I had a peach, orange, cheese stick, and cucumbers. Point.... no processed sugar today! I also had 100oz of water, first day I have met my water goal! I didn't get to my scriptures today, but I did listen to a conference talk. Before work, I put on make up today too! Tomorrow I am off work and I couldn't be happier about it :) Keep going ladies! xoxo

Aimee 3/90

Today wasn't as successful as I'd like it to have been. I packed my food and only ate that today, even though the office always buys us lunch on Wednesdays. I drank half my water. Steven ordered a pizza and I had a piece when I got home.. I was kind of disappointed in myself. But I listened to a health podcast and did plank work during my lunch break where no one could see me. I didn't do much else. And now I'm going to bed. Tomorrow is my late day, so I'll go in at 10am and get done at 930pm. That means I'll work out in the morning and try and get some things done. My kitchen is a disaster right now. Keep going! xoxo

Aimee 2/90

Today didn't go as well. I'm super tired and I have 20 minutes to be asleep. I got to bed last night at 9pm, woke up at 5am. Finished my meal prep, listened to a conference talk, got ready for work, put on make up (I usually don't wear ANY make up to work). I did abs and went to my Krav Maga class tonight, which is an hour. We did a lot of boxing today, choke holds, and chest gun defenses. Pretty fun but I'm still getting the hang of it. I have to be ready by the 27th for my orange belt test. I had about 70oz of water today, which is much better. I also got the whole office motivated to lose weight! We are weighing tomorrow and tracking our progress. I'm hoping to get up in the morning and get the food prep done and maybe some meditating. It's always hard to do that so early when I want to go back to bed. Hope everyone is doing well. xoxo

Hi my yesterday was middling goal wise.  I missed 5 but on the plus side I got a section of the porch painted.  Here is a picture of my goal journal entry yesterday.  Let me know if you can see it.

What a Disaster!

Image
2/90        Wow! Yesterday was bad! I dealt with a fun round of mastitis this last weekend, so my life is getting back to normal. I feel like it takes a matter of hours for things to get out of hand like dishes, cooking, baby mess, and such. However it takes a matter of days to catch up with it all. Yesterday went almost as bad as it could have gone as far as not reaching goals. We did get outside as a family and I stayed away from processed sugar, but I didn't manage to really do anything else completely.        I think part of it was that Zach was home for the day, which means I get to sleep in usually and that we spend lots of time together as a family. Another thing that really did not help at all is the amount of time I spend on my phone. I want to add a phone usage goal to my list, but I haven't figured out what that will be exactly. I use it for everything and more. I am going to see what things I can do with paper and the computer, that...

Alyse's Goals

okay, so I do much better if I only have a few goals to work on at a time. So I am going to put the goals I have been working on and if I feel like I need more all add them in later. Run 4 times a week Meditate for at least 5 minutes a day Try a new SFX makeup look a day and take a picture of it

Aimee Day 1/90

Day 1/90 Alright, day one is here! I got up and did everything I needed to for the morning. It felt great! Both of us are off for the holiday, so I got up at 7am, stretched for 20 minutes while I listened to my conference talk, did abs for 15 minutes, and ran a mile outside. Nice weather this morning, a little muggy.   I made a healthy breakfast with toast, fried eggs, fruit, and tomato and cucumber slices. I had leftover lasagna for lunch…. and then we went to Steven’s dad’s house for a bbq. I was doing really well, had a salmon patty, salad, and corn on the cob. Then I had a big sausage. Addison, his half sister, made a no bake Oreo cheesecake for dessert… she was so excited and I couldn’t say no! So, I had my cheat meal and snack on day one… oops haha. Food is my biggest downfall, and I know it’s going to be tricky maneuvering that during this 90 days.   I didn’t do as well on water as I would have liked.. I’ve had like 30oz. The day isn’t over and I’m going to g...

Addy's Goals

So I don't know if I will be able to keep up with my goals for a whole 90 days as I might be starting an internship before then and probably won't have time for everything. But I am excited to do it for as long as possible. Spiritual Pray everyday!!!! At least 30 min of scripture study Get to the temple AT LEAST once a month Do family history work every Sunday Serve someone everyday Mental Read a book from my book list everyday Spend time doing something I love Go hiking Physical Workout at least 4 times a week Stretch everyday In bed by 10:30pm and up by 7am Eat a healthy breakfast! Financial Don't forget to pay tithing!!! Save up money for a car Stop spending money on things I don't need!

Taylor’s Goals

Life is so busy, which makes it difficult to keep up with goals and things. But I want to be a part of this challenge, and I love setting goals! I am going to try to keep mine simple and achievable.  At the beginning of this year, I bought a planner from the school store that not only helped keep track of to-do’s and assignments, but also had in depth goal setting pages in the front! Some of my goals were to never turn down new things until I had tried them, to seek and be open to adventure, and to attend the temple at least twice a month. So far, some of the biggest things I’ve done have been: snowmobiling, visiting new states (Wyoming, Montana, Washington), temple hopping for a week in Utah (a new temple each day), learning to embrace my inner self and emotions, which has been a whirlwind by the way, and of course, that MRS degree!
