Aubrey-I Deserve Care Too.

Okay, I have not been amazing on anything. I did no sugar for 4 days in a row, man were the first two days really bad, but I made it through. I was also pretty consistent with doing my hair, wearing contacts, and putting mascara on. I did finish the Excel template for my vehicles service records, though I am still editing it as I have been filling it out and playing around with it. I didn't make a chore chart, but I did manage to do most of what I want to call our weekend chores, even though it was done between 11pm and 2am. We did primary stuff with Aaron and did some scripture reading, but it is difficult to feel like we did Come Follow Me as Aaron has a small attention span, so we need to figure out a thing where we can do one just Zach and I as well as one as a family. We watched finding Nemo and had panda express as our date night(Aaron was our third wheel. lol). I pretty much failed with RYC last week, but mom and I picked it up again today, so we are set to continue strong.

This week I have felt really good and happy. I have had a few moments of sudden anger and frustration, but they seemed to be fewer and farther between. I actually missed three days in a row on my vitamins a couple weeks ago and I found that I actually felt better, so I have lowered the amount of vitamin D(I was taking up to 10,000 IUs because of an extreme deficiency 8 months ago) and I have not felt myself go back down emotionally since then. Another thing I think that has helped me a lot is that I have been listening to a show hosted by a relational therapist. It seems to be helping me rationalize my thoughts and help me communicate better with Zach.

I lost a couple of pounds going off sugar, however it is Zach's birthday today and we celebrated on Saturday, so there is plenty of ice cream in the freezer.

I really need to focus on scriptures as it seems to be the hardest thing to sit down and do. I really want to, but I get so busy and I want to do it when I have no distractions(like that ever happens with my brain). I am going to try to include that in something that needs to at least be attempted before lunch time.

The biggest thing that I have learned is to give myself a little bit of priority time. I have never been big on makeup and clothes, but when I at least do some small stuff as a priority, I have felt a lot better. I don't feel so much like a failure or like I don't matter.

  1. Yay 4 days, I can't seem to do more than one day lately, so good job! Also good job on the rest of your goals, you've done quite a lot and I'm impressed. I would definitely focus on those scriptures, of all the things I've done it has made the biggest difference in my goals.

  2. Aubrey, I think for a momma of two littles, you're doing great!! You've been able to check things off your list, and make progress! I wanted to mention a couple of things. I don't know if you are aware, but the church is now putting out videos (at least 1 that I know of) for primary children, kind of like a Primary Conference or fireside. In terms of your scripture study, there is a Youtube Channel called "Don't Miss This" that goes over Come Follow Me in detail. I know that when I have been very busy, that is a great resource for learning while I do other things; or just listening to Conference talks. It doesn't replace actual study, but it's better than nothing!!

  3. Aubs, you did really well I'd say! I'm sure it doesn't feel that way, we are similar in our perfectionist mentality. It feels like, if you make a goal, it should done perfectly and if it isn't, you have failed. But that's not true. You're doing great! Allow yourself a birthday treat for Zach, and then continue.

  4. I would say Aaron demands to be first wheel, no third! haha. Good job Aubrey!
