Taylor - Not Much, but Here it is
This week has been alright. I've been feeling a bit of a dip in my mood, and I'm wondering if it is because Ellie's 6 month mark is tomorrow (monday). I've definitely dropped the ball pretty much the whole week.
I felt (feel) conflicted about working out when trying - I know many experts say that it is just fine to keep working out while TTC, but I have also read and heard that while it is good to exercise, we should take it easier. My assigned workouts are all really hard as I'm nearing the end of my 8 week workout timeline, so I ended up not working out :/ I did a couple of stretches though. Along with not working out, I haven't eaten as healthy this week, entirely because I was trying to make foods that were soft enough for Austin to eat (ie. salads). So the progress that I had made is no longer - which is a MAJOR disappointment because it's the only progress I've made in months. What is also a disappointment (sorry if this is TMI for some of you) is that my period is due when we go down to UT. Somehow, every time we leave for a vacation, my period is due. Hilarious, but also, definitely not.
I've had a serious craving for chocolate and sweets. My body feels that no meal is complete (even if I'm full) until I have something sugary. It's a bad thing that I'm trying to figure out how to get a handle on.
I am counting down the weeks until school is out and we move, and Austin never has to work this booting job again. Austin and I have been trying to speed up time by focusing on our plans in the upcoming weeks. Next weekend we go down to UT, the next is work, the next we are spending a couple of days in Poky, the next we work, and the next we move! It doesn't sound so far away when we put it that way.
This week is a little busy. On top of our usual things, we have friends moving in next door on wednesday, and that evening we have some other friends coming to stay the night with us while they move things out of their storage unit and down to UT. They have a sweet girl named Ember who is about a month older than Ellie. They were our neighbors back in fall of 2019.
I have been dreading cleaning out apartment. There have been times when I just want to chuck everything out of the house and deep clean everything. I feel that it is so grimy (it's not, but it's dirty enough to drive me nuts) and I've been avoiding deep cleaning because I'm stressed and we are moving in a month anyways. But we are gonna try to clean as much as possible on Tuesday before we have guests over.
This ended up being a lot longer than I meant it to be. I guess my brain is all in the details. I hope everyone else's week goes well!!
Hi taylor, I've been having the same problem with the sugar thing lately, its really frustrating but I'm hoping will work through it. Great job though!
ReplyDeleteTaylor, I'm sorry about this week! I know how frustrating that can be. You've got a lot going on in many different fronts, don't forget to cut yourself some slack :)I ALWAYS get my period when I go on vacation. It's the most annoying thing haha. When we go anywhere for a long time, we will plan months ahead of my period because I hate it and I'm a grump lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for your plans! It's really not that far away and we would love to see you guys when you come to NC :) We love it there and have spent most of our vacations in Wilmington.
That does sound like a rough week and I'm sending you a hug right now! Hopefully next week will be better. I also experience the period thing, it is super annoying! As for the sugar thing well that has been my life. I do recommend trying "Bright Line Eating", it isn't for everyone because it does completely cut out sugar and flour until you reach a healthy weight. I did try it for two weeks and it worked for me, I lost a lot f my craving for sugar and I felt amazing as well as losing some weight. I quit because my spiritual needs were more pressing but am thinking of going back on later.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds really hard! That would mean cutting out all breads and pasta....oof. maybe I will try it! Im thinking of doing intermittent fasting and trying to focus on eating more fruits and veggies. I do love a good cheese tortilla though 😅
DeleteSounds nice and busy! Right now I'm not very busy and in a way it's nice but it's also boring some times. I get the period thing but since I quit having periods I've been trying to get them back as I felt so much better when I was on a regular hormone cycle. I'm excited for you guys to have an adventure in North Carolina. We would love to come up and help you guys pack, clean and move if you would like us to!
