Taylor - Pushing Through

I'm trying to start fresh this week. Last week I did maybe a single workout. It's getting warmer outside, so I think I might start trying to go on long walks. I'm learning that actual workouts don't super help baby pooch or diastasis, so I'm trying to stress less about actually working out and focus on getting small exercises in throughout the day.

I started my period two days early -- just great. BUT at least I didn't waste a pregnancy test! lol it's the little things. So now we are going on month 5. I'm trying to not memorize the dates of when I'm supposed to ovulate, or stress about trying in general, because stress about getting pregnant on top of stress about school is too much stress.

We are on week 11/13.5 for this semester, and both Austin and I are starting to feel the pressure. We haven't really procrastinated a lot, but at the same time, we still have large projects that need finishing soon that take a major toll on our grades. I've started slowly packing up things that we aren't using, such as books and winter clothes; things that will go into storage. It's a bit of a mess, and we have been dealing with STUPID sugar ants for months now. They keep showing up in different places: first next to the carpet in the kitchen, then in the bathroom, and now they are all over our sink/counter. We are pretty clean people! We rarely leave dishes in the sink, and if we do, they are rinsed! I'm just so frustrated because no matter how much we clean, they don't go away. The landlord is having the sprayer come AFTER we move. So I'm just really ready to get outta here, if just to be rid of the dumb ants.

I've been forgetting more and more assignments, resulting in 0's, despite my writing them down multiple times. So now I'm writing out another daily list of assignments and things I have to get done for the week.

My goals for this week:

- don't miss an assignment

- get up at a decent time (9:30) EVERY DAY

- go walking for 1 hr 3X/week

- eat more fruits and veggies!!

  1. Aubrey and I are doing a program called Restore Your Core. It's not intense at all but is supposed to fix diastasis, which I have severely, and other problems from pregnancy. You should do it with us! Ants of any kind in the house is annoying, although I would rather have ants than mice. Someone told us about this ant poison that seems to work well called Terro ant killer, The liquid ant killer.

    1. I'd rather have either mice or ants than roaches or lice.

  2. I'm curious to know if the short exercises are effective for you. I'm still in the figure it out stage for my exercise plan. Definitely you don't need more stress. I've obviously not ever tried to get pregnant but I do know that when I'm waiting for something to happen it feels like the longest wait ever. I've begun throwing myself into a project of some sort and that has helped a lot. Once I had ants as a missionary and I would leave a dirty plate out so that I could watch all the ants go down the sink later. Probably not the smartest thing but was satisfying. I hope you've had an amazing week, your goals look totally doable and I think that is a smart move.
