Taylor - So Close!

We move out two weeks from today! I feel so unprepared. There isn't actually a ton to do, but the thought of packing, finding a storage unit, renting a truck for moving our large items, working on final projects, and trying to meal plan the heck our of our remaining food supply is daunting.

I'm feeling pretty lucky that I made some freezer meals a couple of months ago, because I've been able to plan those to feed us the last week before moving out. So all we have to do is thaw them (all soups), heat them up, and serve! I'm happy that it means I can pack our dishes and cooking supplies, and just use paper bowls and plastic spoons. I've already been able to meal plan most of this and next week's meals. Yay!

This last week I didn't give my best effort. Frustration was my downfall - ants not going away, project aspects that team members don't do good work on ( so I will probably have to re-do their part), other projects not working out, not cleaning enough. I only walked once last week for an hour (which felt great, I was pretty sweaty and my ligaments/tendons in my ankles and upper legs were sore). BUT the positives of last week: I have a buddy to walk with! We made a schedule for MWF evenings. I was able to get every single assignment done, and didn't forget anything!

Last night was GREAT. I was so tired after our Zoom call yesterday, I told Austin I wanted to sleep. So I went and got ready for bed. Although it took him a little while to wind down, he decided to join me (even though he said it was too early) and we were in bed around 8PM! AND WE SLEPT UNTIL 8AM!!! Best Sleep EVER. I wish his work schedule allowed us to go to sleep early every day. I love sleep haha.

My goals for this week:

- Go walking 1hr/MWF

- Get all my assignments done on the days I have them written out

- Make road trip snacks with all the random leftover pantry items

-make pumpkin chocolate chip bread, give to friends

-make peanut brittle (we still have lots of peanuts and Karo syrup lol)

    -make protein bites

- Pack two boxes, organize already packed boxes for storage

  1. I'd say the meal planning alone is a big project not to mention all the other moving stuff. So I think you are pretty busy here. I hope it goes smoothly and you have a successful week!
