Kileys first post

Just got on here to say- all you are incredible sisters. So thankful to know you all. I only read a few posts but was left feeling inspired by each one of you and your support to one another.

My goal right now in life: major declutter.

I’ve started with the kitchen. Working my way upstairs and the last and most challenging will be the basement.

I am excited.  Baby steps.

Cameron just took an entire truck load to D.I. Today. I’m still getting over the fact that we didn’t get any pictures of our awesome decluttering.

I also have some DIY projects up my sleeve but I’m holding off until I declutter a bit more. I will be refinishing a dining room table we just bought off classifieds and painting some furniture we got.

Right now- my emotional goal has been to FEEL. I have a tendency to completely detach from all of my emotions- especially when life gets hard. I detach so severely that I don’t even realize I’m going through a hard time and then it ends up showing up in overwhelm, anxiety, anger, irritation, frustration or discouragement over mundane tasks.  I am really learning a lot about how to recognizing when I’m detached and how to re-connect with my emotions. It’s been super helpful and although it’s hard to sit with some emotions I’m proud of myself and happy with my progress.

Spiritual: goal is to listen to a conference talk each day and read scriptures. I need to get back in check with scriptures

Physical: right now I’m not intentionally exercising. I am trying to do my usual: clean eating, whole grains, no wheat or gluten or sugar cane or other more refined and processed sugars. I do honey and pure maple syrup and... zzzzz... I try to eat enough. When I’m busy I tend to not want to eat which definitely affects my mental health- so I’ve got some protein bars and a few snack foods to keep me eating when I’m not feeling up to it.

Intellectual: right now I am reading a book called the assertiveness guide book for women. I think I said that right. It’s so much more than I thought. I’m learning some good things from it. I read a book a month with my podcast group, in theory. A lot of times I don’t finish the book. But always glean from what I do learn. Lately I’ve been distracted with other books (the minimalist home, for example) that I’m reading on my own time as well.  I love self-help/self-improvement books.

Well- I will probably see you all on here next year.

Or maybe I’ll be surprised to find myself on here sooner.

Love you all.

Ps- typing on my phone and not caring at all about typos or punctuation so excuse my rather rough writing. 😂

  1. Wow Kiley I am super impressed. A whole truck load to DI, go Kiley! Also how do you type all that on your phone, I would go mad! I like how you've basically just put one goal per area, it looks like a good strategy.
