Taylor - It's almost October!
Long time no see! Austin and I are finally getting into more of a routine. His class work load is so much easier since switching majors from Mechanical Engineering to Manufacturing Engineering Technology. He's hoping that he might be able to squeeze in a weekend to go hunting this fall, he still needs to call Cameron and talk about it though.
We will be 28 weeks tomorrow, and I am so excited! The weather is starting to cool off, I've got most of our baby stuff washed, organized, and ready to go, and the fall colors are starting to show in the trees! Tonight is our 4/5 hypnobirthing class, and we will be spending the majority learning how to use counterpressure techniques and stuff to help during labor, which I'm pretty pumped about. ALSO, Austin and I both have job interviews on Friday! It's for seasonal positions at Artco (The Occassions Group) making greeting cards for the holidays. They are incredibly flexible with schedules (literally work whenever you want, as they are open 24/7) with unlimited opportunities for overtime. Starting pay is $11-14/hr! We will be able to work whenever we feel like it, and they even have what they call the "pregnant lady job", which is sitting down and pairing cards to envelopes...for $11+/hr! HA! I'm pretty pumped, as this will allow us to have some flexible income to supplement our savings and living expenses, even though we've already saved a lot to live off of.
I'm going to try and schedule a 3D/4D ultrasound in the next couple of weeks, it just depends on if my OB's office has the staffing or not. Their only ultrasound tech is on maternity leave, so she only comes in for the absolutely necessary appointments. I'm trying to be better at bonding with Eli while in utero, and I feel like knowing what his face looks like will help me to really recognize that I'm talking to my baby and not just the air in front of my face.
Taylor this all sounds great! That job sounds perfect! Extra time for Austin means happy things for both of you I'm sure. Good luck with the jobs and finding an appointment for the ultrasound. Connect with Eli's little spirit and energy, those are totally unique to him.
ReplyDeleteWow I read this back to myself and it sounds kind of stuttery (is that even a word), and sluggish. You'll have to forgive me, I have a low grade fever right now so things did not come out quite like I meant. I did however want to say that I loved reading your post, it gave me a little boost of happiness, so thank you.
Deletesure thing! Austin is actually continuing to apply to other places that may fit his future better, so I'm hoping that he can get into one of those. that means I don't work, but I'm not too bummed, as my energy is pretty low (just had my iron levels checked, they're fine). I'm scheduling an appointment tomorrow for a different office, as the official word at mine is that they won't be doing 3d until COVID cases come down.
DeleteI love the 3D images, they're amazing! Eli looks so beautiful! I'm casually looking for a job as well! I wish I could do that long distance!
