Amber - Last of 2020

Here is my last post of 2020.  It has been a great year for me in personal growth but as always they keep getting better in some way.  My goals are going to have to change a bit because I am losing right now.  Christmas is over and it will be easier to conquer and change.  I have shortened or eliminated things but I really need to work on my evening again so that will be the focus.  Getting up early after a good rest is key and then have some direction during the day also helps. 1. Set some intentions for the day and visualize.  I'm lumping these together because I'm putting less into them to make it easier.  I just want to start developing a habit, later I'll improve it. 2. 8:30 I say my repentance prayer and get ready for the next day. 3. Bed at 10:00. Monday: * I did read and I liked it but nothing stood out strongly so I don't have a thought. I did nothing this day but that is really because I was still on the old schedule.  I didn't act...

Amber - Christmas: Final week

Since this week is Christmas I have decided to drop the extras and just do the same goals as I was.  I know I'm definitely insane.  I just haven't the energy to try a new thing and still focus on Christmas.  Here they are: 1. Set these goals as my intentions for the day and make this part of my morning routine. (in the past this has been an extra thing on top of my routine) 2. Visualize the thing I'm working towards, this is becoming part of my energy work for the day. 3. I exercise at some point in the day, preferably early morning (depends on bedtime). 4. 8:30 I say my repentance prayer. 5. I make a plan and prepare for the next day. 6. Bed at 10:00. Monday: *  I read a chapter in 2 Nephi about the birth of Christ and his life.  It was very pretty and helped me keep the focus on Christ.  That is the purpose of this holiday in the first place.  I'm so grateful that we have a plan and a way to return from where we came.  I was watching a you...

Week 2 day 1

So this week was better than past weeks, but I certainly did not meet all of my goals. I'll be repeating the same goals as last week, minus paying my tithing since I don't get paid this week. I struggled with remembering to drink my water, night things, and working out. I struggled the most with sugar. It was winter wonderland week at work, and they had treats for us every day and catered meals. I did work out two days, but that was all! Spiritual - Personal prayer morning and night -5 minutes of scripture study in the morning -Pay tithing on Friday -Write in journal in the evening 5 things you are grateful for Emotional/Mental -Morning things (prayer, scripture, teeth, breakfast, shower, makeup) -Night things (pick up, wash face, journal, teeth, pajamas, prayer) -Journal Physical - I weighed myself this morning at 189.8lb. Not much of a change, but something is better than nothing! -Drink 50oz of water a day -Take one pill with a meal -Exercise 3 days a week and stretch for 5 ...

Week 1 Day 3

So the past couple days have not been ideal. I worked out Monday, but didn't get to it yesterday as planned. I have yet to write in my journal and I haven't kept great track of my water. I think it would be best to write down the things I have set out to do and check them each day. I have been forgetting what i'm suppose to do and then it's too late to finish it all.

Amber - Third Christmas week

Ok third time is the charm, I will attempt the same for the same reasons as last week.  Isn't this the definition of insanity?  That must mean I'm insane.  So why should this week work when last one didn't?  I'm thinking...I have to change something.  Well the idea is to actually do the things I say.   Alright I've decided I'm going to start on Monday by doing three other things.   Little to no TV, only for spending time with Grandparents.  I have to leave the room with the computer if I need to. Little to no phone games, if I start to feel restricted then I can play a single game in between tasks. Not sure if I'll keep this one up but I'd like to split the day into sections.  I'll try it Monday and see if I like or if it works. By 10:00 - Morning stuff By 12:00 - Cleaning or shopping By 3:00 - Cooking, decorating, time with Grandma, or cleaning By 6:00 - Do some personal stuff before I try to get on the computer ( If I can re...

Week 1 Day 1

Today is the beginning! I'm excited to start a new journey to becoming more of the person I want to be. I'm not sure that I'll be posting every day, but I'd like to post on the first day of the week and sometime during that same week.   This week I want to focus on the following: Spiritual - Personal prayer morning and night -5 minutes of scripture study in the morning -Pay tithing on Friday -Write in journal in the evening 5 things you are grateful for Emotional/Mental -Morning things (prayer, scripture, teeth, breakfast, shower, makeup) -Night things (pick up, wash face, journal, teeth, pajamas, prayer) -Journal Physical - I weighed myself this morning at 190.4lbs and took some before pictures for myself.  -Drink 50oz of water a day -Take one pill with a meal -Exercise 3 days a week and stretch for 5 minutes on those days -Have sugar only one a day (yeah, it's that bad) -Eat 2 healthy meals a day

15 Week Introduction

I've really been struggling lately. I was reflecting on how I can help myself move forward, and remembered that the last time I was making real progress was when I attempted my 90 day journey. I did it all wrong, trying to do all of those things every day became too much. So, I proposed a new plan for myself. 15 weeks of improvement for myself. Starting tomorrow. I'll set goals in different aspects of my life and work on different goals each week, adding every week. I don't know if I'll meet all of my way goals at the end of the 15 weeks, but I'm going to do my best to do it smartly.  All of these categories bleed into each other, in my opinion, but they will be categorized none the less.  Spiritual- Making spiritual goals have always been hard for me. Because they aren't always measurable in words for me, as it it a feeling? But I'll make a list of things that I want to do to steer in me in the right direction.  -Daily personal and family prayer. -Daily sc...
